Position Summary
As a Welder, you will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble various metal forms, ensuring our products meet exacting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in TIG welding, be able to read blueprints, and perform weld testing to ensure product integrity. This position is available on both 1st and 2nd shifts.
Principal Activities
- Weld and fabricate metal products, primarily using TIG welding, with some MIG welding as needed.
- Expertly weld small, medium, and large bore pipes made of various metals and alloys.
- Execute brazing of copper screw plugs.
- Follow engineering blueprints and schematics to meet precise product specifications.
- Perform calculations and measurements to verify material and product specifications.
- Conduct tests to evaluate the quality of welds and ensure tolerances are met.
- Inspect and measure finished products using straight edges, templates, or other tools to confirm they conform to specifications.
- Lay out and install piping, equipment, and other mechanical systems in compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Mark up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.
- Carry out complex mechanical installations as directed by engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with other teams, including crew members and lead personnel, to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned to the team.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety standards and guidelines.
- Follow all company policies, including those outlined in the employee handbook, to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- May be assigned additional tasks as needed.
Candidate Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Preferred at least three years of manufacturing experience as a Welder or in a related role, with relevant training or experience.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Proven experience in TIG welding, with a solid understanding of MIG welding techniques.
- Familiarity with welding tools, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to interpret and follow engineering blueprints and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing or welder environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
