Manager/Supervisor

We are seeking a strategic Manager of People Partnership to join our people leadership team acting as the primary HR partner for our Technology and Operations client groups. In addition to leading the people partnership with the assigned client group, you will also design and execute initiatives in areas such as employee engagement, performance management, and organizational effectiveness. As a core member of the People Leadership Team, they participate in setting the strategic direction for the People function to ensure the People Team is at the forefront of readiness for this rapidly growing organization.

Locations: Somerville, MA or Berkeley, CA

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals in People Partnership and Employee Experience and Engagement.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the assigned People Partnership team, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to deliver on their objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the team, encouraging innovative thinking and continuous improvement.
  • Administers the budget, goal setting and performance management of the team.

2. HR Business Partnering & Client Support

  • Act as the primary HR/People point of contact for the leadership of your designated client group, providing strategic human performance guidance to support business objectives. Oversee via your direct reporting People Partners the overall human capital support for the full client group.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify workforce planning needs, talent development opportunities, and organizational design initiatives.
  • Oversees the design and execution of the employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, development, and exit strategies working in partnership with the People Systems and data shared services team to ensure clean and effective process management end to end.
  • Administers workforce planning and administration for assigned client group facilitating a strong partnership between talent acquisition and the clients to achieve the shared staffing metrics.
  • Leads the creation of insights to actions against standard people analytics and dashboards on recruiting, employee lifecycle and other key performance trends.

3. Program Design & Execution

  • Oversee the design and execution of core programs for Form-wide application.
  • Partner with the Training team to create and facilitate skill development programs to drive leadership and professional growth.
  • Oversee Form-wide Employee Experience and Engagement to gather critical employee listening data linked to action planning and planned experiences that enhance the overall employee journey.
  • Lead the development and implementation of DEI strategies that create an inclusive workplace environment and to promote diversity initiatives driving a culture of belonging.

4. Employee Relations & Support

  • Provide first-line support for complex employee relations issues, guiding HRBPs and leaders on conflict resolution and workplace best practices.
  • Partner with the Head of Employee Relations to deliver training and support on complex investigations and to drive positive employee relations communications and learning journeys.
  • Work closely with the HRBPs to ensure consistent application of company policies and adherence to labor laws.

5. Organizational Development & Effectiveness

  • Lead organization design and effectiveness projects to ensure scalability and alignment with business growth.
  • Oversee talent bench development programs, focusing on leadership pipeline and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to create and implement strategies for driving employee engagement and retention.
  • Lead large-scale change programs including stakeholder engagement, communications and adoption.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on HR business partnering, talent management, staffing, people analytics and team leadership.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience partnering with an engineering or technology client group in a multi-state or geographically dispersed arrangement.
  • Proven experience in designing and executing HR programs that drive engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, inspire, and manage a high-performing HR team.
  • Technically savvy with an ability to learn and apply new technologies or business intelligence tools. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
  • Core people analytics skills with the ability to apply data to form insights and action plans.
  • Proven experience designing and leading change initiatives including stakeholder evaluation, change communications and learning campaigns.
  • Must be able and willing to travel approximately once per month to our locations in the Boston or Berkeley locations and Pittsburgh regions and to work on site in a flexible hybrid environment targeting in-office a minimum 3 days per week.
